Gujarat known as PRATICHYA and VARUNA is one of India's westernmost state covering an area of about 196024 square kilometre. Gujarat is surrounded by the Arabian Sea to the southwest, Rajasthan to the northeast, Madhya Pradesh to the east and Maharashtra and Dadra and Nagar Haveli to the south. Gujarat is situated between 684' &744' east longitudes and 216' & 247' north longitudes. There are 33 districts in Gujarat. The capital of Gujarat is GANDHINAGAR.
