There are many dams across the state of Gujarat.

 

SARDAR SAROVAR DAM

 

Sardar Sarovar dam is the largest dam in Gujarat and is the third largest dam in India. This dam is a large hydraulic engineering project. This dam is built across the river Narmada. The total capacity of this dam is  9.5 cubic kilometer. This dam is expected to supply water for irrigation for 1.84 million hectares in Gujarat. UKAI DAM

Ukai dam is the second largest dam in the state. The largest reservoir in state Vallabh sagar is on this dam. This dam is constructed across the Tapti river. This dam has the second largest storage capacity in Gujarat. This dam is at a height of 80m.

 

DANTIWADA DAM

This dam is situated on the  Banas river. This dam is one of the famous dams in Banaskantha district.

 

KAMLESHWAR DAM

This dam is at a height of 25m. This dam is built on the Hiran river. This dam is located inside the Gir forest. This reservoir is famous for crocodiles and birds. This dam is in Visvadar of Junagarh district.
